Our new vicar
We are delighted to announce that the Bishop of Southwark, together with the Church Pastoral Aid Society as Patrons, have appointed Rev Dan Wells as our next Vicar, subject to the usual legal formalities.
Dan is Senior Associate Minister at All Souls’ Church, Langham Place in central London, having previously served in parishes in Hampstead and Plymouth. He has been ordained for around 13 years.
Dan grew up in Portsmouth on the south coast, and studied Mathematics at university, becoming a Maths teacher before going forward for ordination. He loves to point people to Jesus and to help them grow in grace and godliness and his favourite Bible book is probably Hosea. He is married to Louise, who works as a Neonatal Outreach Nurse at St. Thomas’ Hospital, and they will be celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary in July. On days off they like to walk and find new places for breakfast. Dan in particular enjoys watching superhero movies and attempting to bake bread, and his aspirations include writing a book and learning to skateboard. He enjoys watching rugby, cricket and basketball, and is a passionate supporter of the Denver Broncos American Football team.
Dan and Louise will move to Richmond towards the end of the summer, and Dan will be licensed at Holy Trinity by the Bishop of Kingston on 19 September.
