Thank you for your patience as we have explored the best way to reopen the church for Sunday worship in the best and safest way we can. We are putting plans in place based on the current information and restrictions but those might change over the coming weeks so bear with us as we adapt to an ever changing situation.
We plan to reopen for Sunday morning worship services from Sunday 6th September. Until that point we will continue to have our online Worship at Home as usual. Those online services will continue from September but they will be a livestream of the service in church instead of a recorded one. Under the current restrictions those services will be limited in numbers because of social distancing and you will need to book a place in advance. More details on how this will be done will be released over the coming weeks.
We do realise that there are many who would like to return earlier than September, so we are also starting a half-hour Evening Prayer service at 6pm from Sunday 2nd August. Again, numbers will be limited and booking will be necessary. All of the information you need can be found at htrichmond.org.uk/sundayworship and you can book online there too. We are working on a system to prioritise those most in need of these services and to ensure that those without internet access are not left out.
Our services will inevitably look and feel quite different when we return, especially since, with the current restrictions, we are unable to sing together or socialise after the service. But I hope it will be a helpful step in the right direction and a joy to be able to meet in some way soon.
